Job Role Description
The Product Lifecycle Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of assigned products—from concept and development through commercialization, optimization, and end-of-life management. This role ensures products meet customer needs, comply with regulatory requirements, and deliver strong commercial and operational performance. The position requires close collaboration across commercial, technical, and operations teams to align product strategy with business objectives.
Job Role Responsibilities
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
🔹 Product Strategy & Roadmap
Develop and maintain product strategies and roadmaps aligned with business goals and market needs
Identify growth opportunities, product improvements, and portfolio optimization initiatives
Translate market insights and customer requirements into actionable product plans
🔹 Product Lifecycle Management
Lead product lifecycle activities from concept through commercialization and continuous improvement
Coordinate cross-functional execution efforts to ensure successful product development, launch, and phase-out
🔹 Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, and technical teams to ensure alignment
Lead cross-functional initiatives to deliver new product launches and business improvements
Balance competing priorities across cost, quality, service, and efficiency
🔹 Operations & Supply Integration
Align production planning, supply chain, and inventory management with product strategy
Ensure security of supply through effective inbound and outbound planning
Support grade planning, scheduling, and product availability to meet customer demand
🔹 Compliance, Quality & Regulatory
Ensure products comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality processes
Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement programs
Maintain product documentation and ensure adherence to governance standards
🔹 Profitability & Asset Optimization
Drive profitability improvements through cost optimization, pricing support, and product mix decisions
Identify opportunities to improve asset utilization, throughput, and operational efficiency
Lead initiatives to enhance product margins and overall business performance
🔹 Innovation & Product Improvement
Partner with technical and R&D teams to drive product innovation and enhancements
Evaluate raw materials, supply risks, and processes to improve product performance and cost
Support development of new offerings aligned with market trends
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA is a plus)
Experience in product management, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain roles
Strong analytical skills with experience in cost, profitability, and performance analysis
Proven ability to influence stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and coordinate/execute day-to-day operational tasks with urgency
Experience in industries such as Chemicals, Petrochemicals, FMCG, Automotive, or similar
