We are Procurement. As a team of highly motivated and diverse professionals, we add value to the business by providing support to procurement professionals or end users (Business & Service Lines) which may include creating requisitions, services and goods confirmations, invoices administration, as well as creating and maintaining contracts for materials services and freight in SAP used by various business lines. Overall support to the end users in the different steps of the PtP (Purchase to Pay) process may be part of the role as well. Great customer service, and process & controls oriented mindset will be essential for day-to-day activities.

 

What role you will play in our team

 

Contract specialist to join our Global Procurement contracting support team. You will perform a range of duties including advising Procurement contract managers on contracts terms, stewarding contract renewals, training staff on internal processes, drafting and negotiating contract terms, managing compliance terms, and solving other corporate contracting issues.

 

Ideal contract specialists should be proficient at drafting, editing, and negotiating contracts and have the ability to advise less experienced staff in these areas. In addition to being an excellent communicator, the candidate should also possess in-depth knowledge of procurement functions, contract agreements, and legal terminology.

 

What you will do

 

  • Collaborate with acquisition and procurement professionals to establish contract terms and agreements with external parties
  • Review and advice on complex contracts and provide concise analysis of risks inherent in negotiated terms
  • Assist procurement professionals in discussions with internal business clients and external suppliers
  • Work closely with internal attorneys

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in law or related area of study
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing contracts or advising on contract issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong command of legal English terminology 
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract documents, and legal specifications
  • Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a law firm or working with attorneys a plus
