What Role will You Play In Our Team
- Define product vision, product roadmap and desired outcomes tied to higher level business strategy
- Accountable for overall delivery of product solutions
- Collaborate with Product Owners for further definition (e.g. the Lean Canvas). Ensuring the investment is allocated to the appropriate type of work between Product Health, New Opportunities and Operating
- Taking a balanced approach across all work, increasing visibility and better work selection
- Partnering with Architecture to ensure solutions adhere to modern standards
What you will Do
- Spends time with stakeholders to understand the business line strategy, business objectives, and is able to triage new opportunities against them
- Ensures that new incoming work for the product is aligned with the overall business strategy and objectives
- Works with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define the value proposition for features, the hypotheses that require validation, the scope, and all other [Definition of Ready] criteria for features
- Understands and communicates the current state of the features with key stakeholders.
- Collaborates with Product Owners, CDO, and CDS [SOD Teams} to align on product priorities that will deliver end-to-end value for users
- Defines Product Vision, Product Roadmap and desired outcomes tied to higher level business strategy
- Understands customer needs, defines economic rational and path to value, and continually validates value delivery and usage
- Negotiates tradeoffs between competing priorities based on program capacity including balancing base work and new functionality
- Provides input to architectural decisions and balances need to invest in work required for sustainable technology with need to develop functionality
- Responsible for Business Process changes readiness that are necessary to support and accept solutions
- Provides feedback for delivery teams on solution effectiveness and clarifies user needs.
- Works with other Product Managers to prioritize upcoming work efforts
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Position requires proficiency in the area of data and analytics, and should be someone who is passionate about data and turning data into insights that support our business decision making process
- Ability to create something new without a predefined plan
- Ablility to lead the coordination of activities and idea generation across diverse group of stakeholders
- Ability to translate higher level vision & strategy to a plan
- Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely to varied audiences, in particular complex solutions to non-technical audiences
- Ability to negotiate, breakdown complex problems, escalate as needed to management and drive issue resolution with all related parties
- Ability to be an active listener
- Business knowledge and Business Skills, understanding of Chemical business
