JOB SUMMARY

 

Senior Plant Operators provide operations support for the Nesson Gas Plant facility.  Senior Plant Operators are knowledgeable about designing, commissioning, maintaining all control systems, electrical, motor controls, VFD’s, and solid state controllers.   Senior Plant Operators monitor, maintain, and report conditions to ensure the safe operations of the facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

A Senior Plant Operator ...

  • Must have the ability to acquire process knowledge and understand all aspects of plant processing fundamentals, PSM requirements, redlining of P&ID’s, PSSR of equipment and systems.
  • Will  coach/mentor board operators which consists of all controls & equipment associated with the facility
  • Must work in extreme temperatures
  • Must work well in a team setting with minimal supervision.  
  • Provide training in EHS, regulatory, OSHA standards, PSM, RMP, PHA, and MOC.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

  • Advanced knowledge of Process Safety Management of Natural Gas Plant 
  • Knowledge in creation and management of RMP, PHA, MOC, Incident investigation, and operating procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding in process manuals, C&E, mechanical integrity, XTO interdepartmental/contractor management, emergency response, and compliance audits
  • Knowledge in PSSR of equipment
  • Understanding of process piping equipment, P&ID’s flow paths, instrumentation, control, control systems, and safety systems
  • Knowledge in Control Room operations
  • Knowledge of DCS controls
  • Industry experience 
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds to a height of 42 inches
  • Must be able to climb equipment ladders and work at height
  • Knowledge in basic computer programs
  • Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures
  • Must be able to communicate, and work with other personnel. departments, and crafts including third party
  • Preferred knowledge in gas plant processing operations with work experience in compression, dehydration, and refrigeration 
  • Previous experience in permitting and LOTO procedures
  • Mechanical skills associated with maintenance, trouble shooting equipment, repair and operations of natural gas processing equipment and related components
  • Knowledge in LDAR of processing equipment
     

WORK SCHEDULE

 

  • Mon-Friday 7am-3:30 pm, with overtime and on-call on weekend when needed.
