About Houston
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team
The Process Management and Improvement Advisor is a strategic partner responsible for supporting the buildout of the Process Management & Enablement capability and appling its standards to functional and cross-functional improvement engagements. Partner with Process Owners and senior leaders, translating PM&E strategy into practical standards, evidence, designs and measurable change. The role drafts, tests and applies standards under the direction of the PM&E Capability Manager
What you will do
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead defined functional and medium-complexity cross-functional engagements from discovery and current-state evidence through future-state design, implementation planning, adoption and sustainment.
- Draft and maintain BPM process hierarchy, taxonomy, modeling, documentation, metadata, quality and lifecycle standards.
- Develop playbooks, templates, training materials and methodology-selection criteria spanning BPM, Lean, Six Sigma, modeling, mining, Agile, value-stream and journey methods.
- Assess requests; clarify outcomes, ownership, baselines and stakeholders; recommend scope, engagement level and fit-for-purpose methods for manager approval.
- Model and analyze processes; use mining and operational data to examine handoffs, delays, rework, variants, controls, data, systems and transferred impacts.
- Work directly with EPOs and process owners to define decision rights, E2E measures, functional contributions, governance routines and benefit ownership.
- Coordinate business, IT, Digital, data, controls, and change contributors; escalate material enterprise decisions to the PM&E Capability Manager.
- Capture reusable assets and lessons; support training, coaching, practitioner forums, first-level quality reviews and effective consultant knowledge transfer.
About you
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 5-10 years in BPM, process analysis, process improvement, operational excellence or transformation.
- 3+ years in BPM/process architecture and 2-4 completed engagements with implementation or measurable outcomes.
- Direct facilitation with senior leaders and process owners in a global matrix.
- Experience creating standards, playbooks, training or reusable assets.
CAPABILITIES AND TOOLS
- BPM lifecycle, BPMN 2.0, ownership, E2E design, KPI logic, variants, controls and sustainment.
- Practical Lean/Six Sigma and at least one additional method such as mining, Agile, VSM or journey design.
- Signavio, ARIS, Bizagi or similar; mining-platform exposure such as Celonis preferred.
- Advanced facilitation, effective communication, structured problem solving, influence and workstream leadership.
INDUSTRY, EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Oil and gas, energy or petrochemicals experience is strongly preferred.
- Candidates from similarly complex, global, asset-intensive or highly regulated industries will be considered where they demonstrate rapid domain learning.
- Preferred credentials include ABPMP CBPA/CBPP, APQC process/framework training, Lean Six Sigma, BPMN, process mining, Prosci, Agile/SAFe or PMP.
- The role relies on business and technical SMEs for specialist operating judgments.
