What role you will play on our team
This position is responsible for identifying, implementing and maintaining both basic and advanced process control applications. These applications will have a direct influence on the performance (throughput, pressure cycling, leak detection etc.) of pipeline operations allowing them to operate in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
The typical experience range for this position is 3 to year 8 years.
The job is located in Spring, Texas.
What you will do
- Provides technical support for advanced apps.
- Day to day monitoring and support for existing pipeline applications on one or more consoles.
- Interface directly with Field Engineers, OCC Controllers, Optimization Engineers and other members of OCC Engineering as needed to maintain good control and operations.
- Where process control applications or the underlying process itself are not performing per expectations, this position will use fundamental knowledge of the underlying processes, the equipment used in the process, and the knowledge of the existing application to assist identifying and correcting the issues.
- Identify opportunities for new or improved applications.
- Establish, maintain, evaluate, and steward key performance indicators on one or more consoles consistent with recognized design and/or engineering standards.
- Support the applications scope for new projects on their consoles.
- Ensure application needs are met and that engineering standards are being followed by each project.
- Assist in developing, configuring, and maintaining base regulatory process control applications (SCADA point configuration, console graphics, etc.)
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Computer Engineering.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose process and application performance issues.
- Ability to analyze operational data and develop performance improvement opportunities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, and field organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and support both day-to-day operations and project activities.
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of process control principles, pipeline equipment, and operational systems.
