Division Order Analyst

Job Role Responsibilities

 

  • Independently plans, organizes, prioritizes, schedules, and completes multiple concurrent projects accurately and timely  
  • Responsible for obtaining title opinions/title documentation, analysis of curative requirements and securing required curative documentation to determine well/unit ownership
  • Interacts with peer departments in obtaining relevant information impacting ownership and revenue distribution
  • Establishes and maintains ownership in accordance with record title for revenue distribution
  • Resolves ownership curative issues and processes administrative duties ensuring ownership is accurate for distribution of revenues
  • Review and verify Company owned gross working, overriding and/or royalty interests
  • Responsible for review of suspended revenues and ensuring monies are distributed accurately and timely
  • Comfortable and experienced in working with external working/royalty interest owners and Government agencies 
  • 5+ year’s relevant experience with Bachelor's degree

Expected Level of Proficiency

 

  • Capable of independently making risk assessments and recommendations
  • Strong analytical, math and communication skills with an aptitude for detailed and precise work 
  • General knowledge of associated departments’ activities (i.e., Land, Revenue, JIB, Controllers, Marketing)
  • Knowledge of oil and gas law and/or state specific ownership related law, including statutory guidelines, unclaimed property regulations, probate/laws of decent and distribution, contracts, etc
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Project management skills: ability to deliver results in a performance-driven and team-oriented environment

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

 

  • Knowledge/experience with Quorum, SAP/PRA a plus 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically EXCEL required 
  • Acquisition and Divestiture experience
  • Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills: ability to exercise business judgment/make sound decisions
