What role you will play on our team

 

As an Advanced Process/Facilities Engineer your job will be to lead process and facilities engineering initiatives, including surveillance program development, system optimization, facility design, and risk management across North America Onshore operations. Leverage engineering analysis, complex multiphase modeling, and operational expertise to improve safety, environmental performance, reliability, and value creation. Provide technical leadership for strategic projects, enterprise initiatives, and standardization efforts while mentoring engineers and strengthening organizational capability. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

 

This position will be based in Houston, TX.

 

What you will do

 

  • Facility Engineering Modeling, Surveillance, & Optimization
    • Lead facilities engineering evaluations for system-wide optimization opportunities, translating conceptual designs into executable solutions and decision-quality recommendations.
    • Apply modeling, simulations, and technical evaluations to optimize facility designs, operating strategies, and capital investments.
    • Evaluate, develop, and implement new tools, automation solutions, analytics platforms, and surveillance technologies to enhance operational performance, de-bottleneck, reduce OPEX.
    • Leverage coding, data integration, advanced analytics, and digital solutions to improve decision quality, automate workflows, increase visibility of asset performance, and identify value-generating optimization opportunities.
    • Ensure engineering controls are in place to enable safe facility operations and compliance with applicable permits and regulations.
    • Identify causes for facility downtime/upsets and evaluate remediation.
    • Develop and justify capital spend to support proposed facility additions and upgrades.
    • Partner with Operations, Facilities, Subsurface, Projects, Environmental, and Commercial teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
    • Coach and mentor engineers while fostering technical excellence and strengthening organizational capability.

 

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an Oil and Gas engineering role with a focus on facilities or upstream unconventional.
  • Experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of common surface facilities systems.
  • Experience applying engineering analysis, process modeling, economic evaluation, and data analytics.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

 

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to understand/redline P&ID drawings.
  • Strong working knowledge of Python and Databricks.
