What Role You Will Play On Our Team
Execute daily risk management activities associated with ExxonMobil's LNG, Gas, Power and Freight trading activities, such as exposure monitoring, report generation, data validation, and support for routine risk evaluations. Monitor trading activity to identify, assess and mitigate risk associated with execution or strategy definition, including outside emerging risks.
Job Role Responsibilities
- Risk Reporting: Support daily End-of-Day (EOD) risk reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness including analyzing daily TCM, Value-at-Risk (VaR), and other key risk metrics
- Trade Integrity & Exposure Management: Provide advise on and escalate data integrity issues, trade booking errors, and unusual changes in exposure. Ensure accurate trade capture and reconciliation across systems
- Risk Management Techniques: Apply fundamental concepts of market risk, Value at Risk (VAR), stress testing, and valuation, along with analytical tools including ETRM systems, to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of risk reporting and portfolio analysis
- Exchange & Access Administration: Manage trader and business access to financial exchanges and brokers, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Oversee quarterly trader access reviews and maintain accurate records in systems like SAP. Support exchange-related administrative tasks, including broker setup and permissions management
Skills and Qualifications
- Must have legal authorization to work in the Singapore on a full-time basis for any employer
- 3-5 (three to five) years working experience in Market Risk in the following commodity trading areas: LNG (preferred), natural gas, power, freight, renewables and/or environmental products
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a keen focus on process execution
- Leadership skills, communication abilities, and presence in discussions with senior management
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and comfort in modelling complex issues involving risk and uncertainty
- Experience with the Microsoft suite of products: Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with R, Python, SQL, VBA, Tableau, and/or Power BI
