Job Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to lead research and technology development in polymers, composites, battery materials, carbon materials, carbon capture, and other advanced material systems. The successful candidate will design and execute research programs, analyze data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead external partnerships to develop innovative material solutions. This role spans fundamental research, product development, application development, and market-driven innovation to create new business opportunities.

Required QualificationsLong Description

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven research accomplishments through publications, patents, product developments, or industry projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience in experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn across new technologies and application areas, with the adaptability to thrive in uncertain and ambiguous environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in polymers, composites, battery materials, carbon materials, carbon capture, or sustainable materials.
• Experience leading collaborative R&D programs.
• Proven ability to leverage external partnerships to accelerate research, technology development, and commercialization.
