What role you will play in our team
As an Technology Solution Professional, you will apply your technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and emerging leadership skills to develop and deliver differentiated technology solutions that meet business objectives and customer performance requirements. You will play a key role in translating business needs into practical technical solutions, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive value across products, services, and integrated solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and delivering innovative technology solutions by applying advanced technical knowledge and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Translating business and customer requirements into effective technical approaches and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
- Executing complex technical work and driving projects to achieve defined objectives and performance targets.
- Developing and maintaining deep expertise in core technology fundamentals within your area of responsibility and applying this knowledge to support continuous improvement and technology advancement.
You will work closely with a broad network of internal and external partners, building strong collaborative relationships and communicating technical concepts effectively. This role offers an opportunity to strengthen your leadership capabilities and begin the transition from an individual contributor to a recognized technical leader.
What will you do
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor industry trends, customer requirements, standards, and competitive developments to identify technology opportunities and provide actionable market insights.
- Lead product development projects from concept through commercial launch, defining project scope, deliverables, timelines, and implementation plans.
- Develop and validate lubricant formulations, including additive and base stock selection, to meet customer and business requirements.
- Design and execute test programs, analyze results, and recommend optimal technical solutions aligned with product performance targets.
- Determine product readiness for release by ensuring technical validation, quality approval, and compliance with internal processes and systems.
- Incorporate cost and value chain considerations into development decisions to deliver competitive technical and commercial outcomes.
- Support manufacturing, troubleshoot technical challenges, and provide expert guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Build strong technical relationships with customers, OEMs, and suppliers to understand evolving needs and enhance trust-based partnerships.
- Collaborate effectively with technical, commercial, and operational teams, providing regular project updates and communicating changes to scope, timing, or deliverables.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge in formulation science and lubricant applications while leveraging internal and external expertise to accelerate solution delivery.
- Represent the organization in relevant industry forums and technical committees, contributing to industry engagement and technology advancement.
About You: Skills and qualifications
- Academic Qualification: Degree in Science or Engineering, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Language Skills: Fully proficient in English, both written and spoken. German language skills are considered an advantage.
- Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in product development, preferably in lubricant formulation development, technology development, or product deployment.
- Technical and Professional Skills: Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects from concept through commercialization. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate technical data, identify opportunities, and develop effective solutions. Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business functions.
