Job Role Description
Upstream Engineers contributes to all stages of Asset Development and Operation, inclusive of support to technology commercialization.
Upstream Engineering applicants will support Upstream Operations in Guyana and have the opportunity to support world-class offshore operations including FPSOs, deepwater drill ships, subsea project sand much more – all while working alongside one of the most talented workforces in the industry.

Job Role Responsibilities
Drive operational excellence across subsea and offshore activities, leading continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned, data analysis, and performance optimization
Manage operational risk by applying predictive diagnostics, root cause analysis, and structured mitigation strategies to enhance safety and efficiency
Monitor well and system performance, delivering data-driven recommendations to optimize production and prevent operational disruptions
Develop and implement operational procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal business controls
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, operations, marine, pipelines, flow assurance) to align on technical scopes and deliver integrated solutionsInterface with contractors and suppliers to ensure technical deliverables meet project standards and expectations
Support subsea projects from concept selection through commissioning, contributing to design, testing, and offshore installation activities
Lead and execute FAT, EFAT, and system integration testing programs to ensure equipment readiness and reliability prior to deploymentParticipate in risk assessments, technology selection, and failure investigations to improve system performance and project outcomes
Provide offshore/on-site operational support and surveillance to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Applicants with anticipated graduation date or completion of engineering bachelor’s degree requirements in summer 2026 are invited to apply
- Good interpersonal skills and effective organizational skills; good attention to detail, completeness, and meeting deadlines
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
- Excellent communications (oral & written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Technical experience in Oil and Gas or heavy industry is advantageous, but not required
- Willingness to travel to offshore locations on a regular basis (e.g., drilling rigs, FPSOs)
