This position is located in Edmonton, AB.
What role you will play in our team
Responsible for safely and efficiently performing maintenance activities in accordance with established refinery procedures and industry trade practices. Live plant experience with Instrumentation systems is required. Experience maintaining process analyzers is preferred but not required
What you will do
- Maintain and troubleshoot instrument and analyzer systems, including:
- Repair or recondition equipment.
- Maintain calibration equipment, safety and process monitoring systems, and resolve abnormal conditions.
- Conduct required preventative maintenance tasks on control devices (e.g., flow, temperature, pressure, level, analyzers).
- Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair process analyzers including gas chromatographs, CEMS, oxygen, moisture, pH and sulfur analyzers.
- Maintain analyzer sample systems, shelters, sample conditioning equipment and calibration gas systems.
- Interpret P&IDs, control narratives, and loop diagrams.
- Document calibration records, as-built markups, and maintenance logs.
- Perform maintenance work in a flexible manner as an individual or in a group.
- Share accountability for ensuring equipment is maintained to a high degree of predictable reliability.
- Ensure the implementation of maintenance activities meet our standards.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and develop initiatives to address them.
- Support team members and enforce safe work practices
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Journeyman Instrumentation Technician
- 5+ years industrial instrumentation maintenance experience
- Experience working in a live industrial process environment
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
• Refinery or petrochemical experience
• Process analyzer maintenance experience
• Honeywell DCS experience
• Custody transfer measurement experience
• Instrumentation Engineering Technology diploma
• Proficient with SAP and standard Microsoft tools
Working Conditions:
• Primarily in outdoor environments
• Physical requirements include walking, climbing, lifting, and wearing SCBA
• Participation in callouts, overtime, and outage support is required

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8.5hr days (7:30-16:35)
Overtime rate: 2x
