Job Role Description

The Product Lifecycle Manager leads products throughout their entire lifecycle, from development and commercialization to optimization and end-of-life management. This role drives product strategy, performance, compliance, and profitability while ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives. Working closely with commercial, technical, operations, and supply chain teams, the position supports product innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth.

Job Role Responsibilities

Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities. Identify growth initiatives, product enhancements, and portfolio optimization opportunities while translating market insights into actionable plans.

Lead the full product lifecycle from concept and development through commercialization, optimization, and phase-out. Monitor product performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure successful product launches through effective cross-functional coordination.

Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, technical, and quality teams to align priorities and deliver business objectives. Lead cross-functional initiatives, balancing cost, quality, service, efficiency, and customer requirements.

Align production planning, inventory management, and supply chain activities with product strategy to ensure product availability, security of supply, and reliable customer service. Support forecasting, scheduling, and grade planning activities to meet demand while optimizing operational performance.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal quality systems. Maintain product governance, documentation, and support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

Drive profitability through product mix optimization, cost reduction initiatives, pricing support, and operational efficiency improvements. Identify opportunities to enhance margins, asset utilization, throughput, and overall business performance.

Partner with technical and R&D teams to drive innovation, evaluate raw materials and processes, improve product performance, and develop new offerings aligned with market trends and customer needs.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience in product management, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or related business functions.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in profitability, cost, performance, and operational analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and influence decision-making.
  • Experience in Chemicals, Petrochemicals, FMCG, Automotive, Manufacturing, or similar industries.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
