What role you will play in our team
The Data Engineer is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support business decision-making and operational excellence. This role partners with business stakeholders, product teams, and data engineers to analyze complex datasets, develop reporting solutions, and ensure the availability of high-quality data across the organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in modern data platforms, including SQL Server, Snowflake, and Databricks. They are comfortable working with large datasets, building data models, and driving continuous improvements in data quality, governance, and reporting processes.
What you will do
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and business insights.
- Design, develop, and maintain datasets, reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic.
- Collaborate with Product Owner, and stakeholders to gather analytical requirements and translate them into data solutions.
- Develop and maintain data models supporting reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities.
- Support enterprise reporting and self-service analytics capabilities.
- Work closely with Solution and Data Architects to improve data pipelines and data accessibility.
- Create and maintain business and technical documentation for data assets and reporting solutions.
- Participate in data governance initiatives, ensuring data consistency and standardization across platforms.
- Utilize GitHub for source control, version management, and collaborative development practices.
- Support ad hoc analysis and provide recommendations to drive business decisions.
About you
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related field.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or related areas.
- Advanced SQL development experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with Snowflake data warehousing.
- Experience with Databricks and modern cloud-based analytics ecosystems.
- Data modeling and relational database design.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data lifecycle management.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale datasets and analytical environments.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Knowledge of Azure Data Platform services.
- Experience with Delta Lake and Lakehouse architecture.
- Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts and pipeline orchestration.
- Basic Python or PySpark development skills.
- Exposure to CI/CD processes and DevOps practices for data solutions.
- Proficiency with GitHub for source control and collaborative development.
