Job Summary

Support plant operations while adhering to all environmental and safety policies.


Job Responsibilities

  • Plant Operator will possess the skills to operate plant from a human/machine interface, make routine rounds, observations and process readings in the plant.
  • Make the necessary routine operational changes to keep the plant in a safe operating condition. 
  • Perform Lock Out Tag Out as needed with the use of P&IDs, equipment manuals and procedures.
  • Perform minor maintenance per maintenance manuals and procedures.
  • Perform basic lab techniques and required testing associated with a gas plant.  
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental and PSM requirements and policies pertinent to the Plant Operator position in a PSM regulated facility.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required

  • Requires 3-5 years plant operations experience.
  • An understanding of process equipment, flow paths, instrumentation, controls, control systems, and safety systems.
  • Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate and work with other personnel, departments and crafts.
  • Computer skills required for daily logs, spreadsheets, and DCS controls schemes.
  • Some knowledge of basic programs required (i.e. excel and data entry).
  • Must be able to work shift schedule.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds to a height of 42 inches.
  • Must be able to climb equipment ladders and work at heights.
  • Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.
  • Comprehend P&IDs/C&Es (cause and effect) 
  • Display a positive attitude and provide a healthy work environment for the team. 
  • Apply good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Formal process training and basic working knowledge of gas plant operations will be considered.
  • Experience with cryogenic, refrigeration, stabilization, compression, treating & dehydration is preferred.

Work Schedule

7 on / 7 off, 12 hour days
