What Role You Will Play On Our Team
The construction or field engineer is a field or above field assignment and is primarily an individual contributor within the Project Management Job Family. Primary contributions include in depth evaluations for construction problem solving as well as an integration role between the construction superintendent/foreman and the construction leadership as well as engineering, quality, materials management, and system completion disciplines.
What You Will Do
- Developing into a 'Champion' of safety performance through active engagement with the safety program and the craft
- Support the integration of Contractor/subcontractor's workface planning with engineering, quality, procurement, and systems completion activities.
- Provide surveillance for conformance with the contract in execution of the work scope
- Assist with driving site construction / fabrication safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance in assigned areas/scope.
- Perform / support / lead (as requested) discrete tasks to improve construction management systems and safety, planning, and execution tools. Perform detailed analyses on construction execution data and metrics.
- Actively participate in removing constraints that would hinder Contractor's organization, planning, execution, and controls, and support improvement plans to close gaps in performance.
- Assist with facilitation of interfaces (design, other construction / fabrication sites, commissioning / startup, operations, third parties, etc.)
- Role is a field-based role - individual will be driving or riding along with more experienced construction staff to various work sites for field-level engagements with craft workers
About You
Skills and Qualifications
- Engineering degree required
- Demonstrated technical and/or leadership capability
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills
- Ability to analyze and discuss complex concepts effectively
- Ability to work autonomously and contribute to success of a team
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
- 5-15 years of experience
- Oil & Gas experience
- Leadership experience
- Project Management (construction and project engineering)
- Military experience
