Job Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ready to take on complex challenges within a Fortune 50 multinational corporation. Business line and finance managers will look to you for advice regarding major transactions, tax policy trends and tax savings opportunities. What you will do

  • Partner with the business and tax stakeholders to develop and implement tax planning strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Monitor tax laws, policies, regulations and industry developments and assess their impacts on the company’s global operations.
  • Analyze business operations, transactions and investments to identify potential tax risk, planning opportunities and value chain considerations.
  • Lead or support the tax analysis associated with mergers, acquisitions and divestments.
  • Prepare and review technical memoranda, presentations, and other work product related to tax planning, transactions, and legislative developments.
  • Manage discrete projects and workstreams, coordinating effectively with finance, legal, accounting and business stakeholders.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, helping develop technical and professional capabilities across the team.

About you

  • 5-7 years of experience in US or Canadian income tax, with a substantial focus on tax planning, international tax, tax transactions, or tax advisory work (law firm, Big 4, or US multinational)
  • Strong knowledge of US federal income or Canadian income tax concepts (corporate, partnership, or international tax)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal English (professional fluency required)
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Analyze complex tax issues and apply relevant law to practical business situations.
    • Prepare clear, well-reasoned written work product, including technical memoranda, planning analysis and presentations.
    • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
    • Effectively communicate technical tax concepts to both tax and non-tax stakeholders.

Credentials (One or more preferred):

  • JD from a US-accredited law school.
  • LLM in Taxation (US or internationally recognized program).
  • Master’s in Tax.
  • Licensed attorney in at least one US jurisdcition or CPA license.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with US multinational tax matters (e.g., Subpart F, NCTI, FDDEI, transfer pricing support).
  • Background in a Big 4 firm, international law firm, or in-house tax department.
  • Familiarity with tax research tools (Checkpoint, Lexis, BlueJ).

  • Solid project management and organizational skills.
