The IT department is seeking new candidates to its dynamic team. The department provides support worldwide to the Organizations all along the value chain from exploration through site development to production.
What role you will play in our team
The Site Reliability Engineer - Associate is responsible for developing foundational knowledge in IT Platform Engineering. This role focuses on creating and managing the infrastructure and tools that business capability teams use to build and deploy applications. The goal is to provide stable, scalable, and self-service platforms, allowing teams to concentrate on application deployment without worrying about the underlying infrastructure. This involves, but is not limited to, automating tasks, providing reusable components, ensuring infrastructure and data resilience, enhancing observability, and ensuring security and compliance
In this role, you will learn and apply corporate and industry standards, participate in projects, and assist with operational support tasks under supervision. The position aims to build a professional foundation, deepen your understanding of IT infrastructure, and promote rapid skill development while addressing business needs
What you will do:
- Operate cloud platforms
- Support operating systems
- Maintain virtualization / storage technologies
- Ensure data protection, backup, and recovery
- Support automation and Infrastructure as Code
- Monitor systems for performance and reliability
- Maintain Enterprise Application platforms
- Support SAP Basis and non-SAP systems
About You:
- Bachelor's degree or close to graduating in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computing Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
- Advanced English skills, verbal and written communication
- 2+ years’ experience in an Infrastructure or Site Reliability Engineering role, applying DevOps principles
- Experience managing Windows environments on physical and virtual infrastructure
- Proficiency in code versioning tools (e.g. Git), experience with build management and CI/CD (e.g. Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, GitHub Repos & Actions)
- Solid scripting and coding skills oriented to automation and orchestration (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform)
- Proficiency in debugging and problem solving
- Working experience in an Agile organization
- Hands-on experience with programming languages
- Prior experience working with Linux (e.g. installation, configuration and administration)
- Demonstrable technical skills on backend services including setup, administration, scaling and monitoring
- Understanding of network core concepts (e.g. proxy, VLANS, Firewall, IP addressing, ExpressRoute)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM/CloudFormation templates or similar technologies
- General knowledge about REST API's best practices
