What role will you play in our team
The attorney will be an employee of ExxonMobil Business Support Center Argentina S.R.L and will be based in our offices in Puerto Madero (Docklands Building). The attorney will provide legal support for clients located in United States, Argentina, and other countries, on a wide variety of transactional, commercial, regulatory and operational matters, including but not limited to the negotiation, drafting and implementation of agreements, supporting a wide variety of commercial transactions and operations of our affiliates. The attorney will work in close relationship with assigned clients, often on teams organized by those clients, with oversight from more experienced attorneys where required. The attorney will handle a variety of matters and work independently with supervision that is appropriate for the attorney’s level of experience.
What you will do
- Provide day-to-day legal support for ExxonMobil business units, developing relationships with key business leaders to drive positive business results.
- Support and lead a wide range of commercial transactions and draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including goods and services contracts and represent ExxonMobil affiliates in dealings, including negotiations, with third parties such as governments, competitors, partners, suppliers and equipment manufacturers
- Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of legal issues, provide legal analysis and counsel in order to maintain compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies and to anticipate and mitigate legal risks and exposures for Exxon Mobil Corporation and its affiliates
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of materials in various settings, such as training sessions for clients on contracting, compliance and other legal issues
- Work closely with other teams within the ExxonMobil Law Department and other ExxonMobil functional groups (e.g., tax, regulatory, and finance functions).
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Law Degree
- Licensed to practice law in Argentina
- LLM from a U.S. University or Bar License in a U.S. jurisdiction strongly preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in English, providing quality business and corporate legal advice in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Reputation for high ethical standards and integrity
- Strong relationship building skills, self-confidence, flexibility, initiative and a strategic, pragmatic approach
- Strong analytical and research skills and ability to exercise sound business judgment
- Ability to Work independently but also as a member of an integrated legal team to contribute collaboratively
