What role will you play in our team
What you will do
- Monitor security alerts, events, and activities across enterprise environments using security monitoring and detection platforms.
- Investigate potential cybersecurity incidents and assist with containment, remediation, and recovery activities.
- Perform triage and analysis of security events to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious behavior.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls, standards, and best practices.
- Assist in monitoring the organization's security posture across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to investigate, resolve, and prevent security issues.
- Support security tools and technologies including security monitoring, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and threat detection solutions.
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and tracking security vulnerabilities and remediation efforts.
- Support network security operations, including managing external network connectivity and firewall policy implementation.
- Analyze security logs, alerts, and telemetry from multiple data sources to identify trends and potential risks.
- Assist in developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations that improve security monitoring and operational visibility.
- Participate in threat hunting, threat intelligence, and proactive security monitoring activities.
- Document security incidents, investigation findings, and response activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness and advocate security best practices across the organization.
- Collaborate closely with senior cybersecurity professionals while continuously expanding technical skills across security operations, cloud security, network security, and incident response domains.
About You: Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field.
- Experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, system administration, networking, internships, academic projects, or related technical experience.
- Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, vulnerabilities, and security controls.
- Basic knowledge of security operations, incident response, and threat detection concepts.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
- Experience or exposure to security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, endpoint protection solutions, or vulnerability management technologies.
- Knowledge of log analysis, security event investigation, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Basic scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies is an advantage.
- Understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to assess information from multiple sources and make informed decisions during security investigations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a cybersecurity operations team.
