What role you will play in our team
Trading Enablement Team in ExxonMobil Hungary is seeking new candidates to its dynamic and diverse organization with the aim of maximizing the value of ExxonMobil's Global Trading portfolio.
As Commodity Trading Specialist you will become a member of a team of professionals supporting our front- office trading teams across our hubs.
The job is fast paced, the team is working internationally, and you will be working for various Trading teams (Gas and Power, Crude, Product, Feedstock).
Each Commodity Trading Specialist is an integral part of the trading teams that are responsible for negotiating purchases and sales of gas, power, crude oil, products and feedstocks in the highly dynamic and challenging global oil markets. The Commodity Trading Specialist Associate has oversight for the daily trade management workflow, including selective trade entry, confirmation and entity allocations in support of accurate commercial margin, position limits, and exposure across the portfolio.
What you will do
- Act as the single point of contact between Traders and supporting functions to ensure seamless coordination and issue resolution.
- Execute timely and accurate trade entries to support flawless end-to-end transaction processing.
- Allocate financial instruments across trading strategies while ensuring accuracy and compliance with trading requirements.
- Identify, investigate, communicate, and resolve contract, pricing, and settlement-related issues.
- Perform complex pricing calculations, validations, and reconciliations prior to invoice generation and settlement.
- Manage counterparty and broker onboarding, including setup, amendments, and master data maintenance.
- Provide performance analysis and leverage SAP expertise to support trading and operational activities.
- Participate in operational and system improvement projects to enhance efficiency, controls, and scalability.
- Develop a strong understanding of traded products, markets, and commercial processes to effectively support trading teams.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve procedures, streamline workflows, and strengthen operational excellence.
About you
Skills & Qualification:
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Business Economics/Logistics/International Business Administration or equivalent
- 3 years of related energy or financial services industry experience, crude, products and feedstocks experience benefit.
- Strong entrepreneurial and trading mindset with a focus on driving value-added improvements.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions, geographies, and cultures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Effective at identifying errors, mitigating risks, and recommending process enhancements.
- Proven team player who thrives in diverse and virtual working environments.
- Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
- High technical comfort level with systems and technology; Excel, SAP experience benefit.
- Basic accounting knowledge is an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interaction with Front Office teams and Senior Management.
- Full professional proficiency in English; additional European language skills are a plus.
