What role you will play in our team

Provides commercial/economic/market analysis and insights with an OE framework mindset (more complex applications for Senior position).  The BA Advisor integrates with the opportunity team to develop strategy, understand assumptions & inputs, characterize opportunity value, and communicate the value to stakeholders.

What you will do

• Integrate economic analysis expertise with commercial knowledge, business acumen and industry knowledge to develop economic models leading to sound analysis and insights
• Ensure analysis is fit-for-purpose while being consistent with Upstream Economic Guidelines and the OE framework
• Verify validity of major inputs and assumptions of the project (consult with SMEs as needed)
• Understand the major drivers of the opportunity, e.g. sensitivity analysis
• Develops charts and other visualizations that enable clear communication of insights to decision makers
• Conduct quality peer review of economic models
• Facilitate and encourage the involvement of Principals, Sr. Principals, and/or other corporate experts as needed (e.g. Treasurers, Controllers, MODS)
• Mentor more junior OE&A team members and BU-embedded analysts as appropriate
• More advanced team members may develop additional R&R as outlined in the “OE advisor” job description, e.g. training development, tool improvement, mentorship within the BU

Skills and Qualifications

• High intellectual curiosity and ability to apply learnings to analogous opportunities
• Productive integrator with project management mindset
•  Solution-seeking with ability to translate qualitative discussion into quantitative basis
• Mid- to high- fluency in Excel functions and macros highly advantageous
