ExxonMobil in the Antwerp Area

The Antwerp Refinery, which is integrated with the Performance Intermediates Plant, is situated in the port area. With ongoing large and small investments, ExxonMobil ensures that the installations on the refinery site remain modern and efficient, and that the refinery retains its competitiveness. The Antwerp Performance Intermediates Plant is one of the largest and most modern plants in Europe that produces liquid hydrocarbons. The plant has been completely integrated with the refinery as part of an initiative to maximize efficiency.

The Meerhout Polymers Plant is one of the largest LDPE manufacturers in Europe and it supplies products to numerous industries. The plant is organizationally twinned with the Zwijndrecht Polymers Plant, which produces special types of polyethylene in relatively small volumes.

What role you will play in our team

You will be part of the HR Rotational Development Program! 

You will gain hands-on experience and exposure rotating through various HR roles which may include:   

  • Business HR - Drive talent solutions based on data insights and execute processes to improve business performance
  • Labor Relations – Execute labor strategies and manage day-to-day labor relations activities  
  • Employee Relations – Investigate allegations of misconduct, potential policy violations, etc.
  • Talent Acquisition – Develop branding and sourcing strategies to attract the highest-quality talent to raise the collective capability of the organization 
  • Programs Design – Design programs, plans and guidelines to meet business needs in line with corporate intent 

Talent Development – Leverage analytics to ensure optimal resource development and deployment for near-term and longer term organizational and staffing needs 

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interface across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities 
  • Have a strong drive to create a positive work environment, leveraging a highly diverse workforce
  • Ability to operate with autonomy and discretion in a complex and rapidly changing work environment
  • Preferred: Previous internship or other experience in business or Human Resources

We seek students who are passionate about what they do and eager to join us in providing solutions to society’s energy needs.  Students with strong academic performance in core programs, leadership, and communication skills who have recently graduated, or have an upcoming graduation date, seeking full-time placement with a Master education and a strong interest in Human Resources or an HR education are encouraged to apply.
