Job description

Imperial is looking for ambitious and highly motivated individuals to join our Procurement Services Department (PSD) as part of our Early Development Professional Program (EPDP). As an early business professional, you will be working in a fast-paced team environment and will gain supply chain management experience through a rotation of assignments and special projects.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:


  • Providing client advice and guidance related to acquisition processes
  • Procuring materials and services to support business operating requirements
  • Leading competitive tenders (RFIs and RFPs) to award contracts to best total value suppliers
  • Negotiating improvements in supplier cost, delivery, and quality in accordance with procurement strategies
  • Analyzing inventory parameters to maximize production
  • Coordinating shipping and receiving of materials and ensuring timely delivery to clients


As part of the EPDP, your initial assignment could be working as a Buyer, Procurement Associate, Inventory Analyst, or Warehouse Analyst.





  • Undergraduate or Masters degree in Business or Applied degree in Supply Chain Management
  • To be considered for employment, your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application



  • Supply chain/ procurement experience is preferred
  • Energy industry experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated extracurricular involvement is preferred
  • Desire to obtain an SCMP designation is preferred
  • A desire to learn, excel and create value
  • Effective interpersonal skills to interface with suppliers and business clients
  • Team player with problem solving ability, business acumen, and effective time management and communication skills
  • Geographic mobility

Eligibility to work in Canada
