Mechanical Integrity Engineer - Sarnia

Job description

Imperial is recruiting for an experienced mechanical or civil engineer to assign to a variety of positions in the Sarnia Engineering Services Organization (SESO). You will be assigned to a specific position and department based on your interests, skills, knowledge, experience and Imperial’s business needs. Assignments will include positions in fixed equipment and inspection engineering departments. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintaining the reliability and operability of fixed equipment assets (piping, valves, towers, tanks, furnaces, cooling towers, infrastructure, etc.), designing new/repairing existing pressure containing systems to meet code/jurisdictional requirements, analysis of existing systemsto determine fitness for service and remaining life, develop detailed execution plans for new/replacement components & provide field support during the execution phase, quantify equipment risks to assist the business team in performing risk-based maintenance prioritization, making recommendations for equipment/business improvement, and mentoring engineering graduates.

Qualifications

Academic:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • 3-10 years of previous industry experience, directly related to responsibilities mentioned in the job description
  • Professional Engineering Designation with PEO is preferred but not a requirement
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills

Eligibility to work in Canada
