Our Nanticoke refinery, located on the north shore of Lake Erie, 65 kilometers southwest of Hamilton, 40 kilometers from Oshweken, manufactures products like gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel that keep people, goods and services moving.

What you will do

 

Imperial Nanticoke Refinery is recruiting an Indigenous student for a summer placement. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

 

  • Join a shift team and support the operation of Nanticoke Refinery 
  • Completion of Basic Operator Training 
  • Operations tasks under the direction of an experienced supervisor / employee
  • Completion of special project assignments (e.g. flare source survey, pump health improvements)
  • Equipment preparation for major maintenance under the direction of experienced personnel

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary program
  • Must have obtained high school diploma or equivalent

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
 

  • Candidates must be a member of a local First Nation community
     

Start date: May 2025


Work term: 4 Months
