Administrative Assistant - Rotational to Kearl

Job description

Provide administrative support to the Kearl organization’s management and staff working at the Kearl site. Professionally assist in day-to-day administrative activities in accordance with internal procedures such as: maintain files, replenish supplies, schedule and organize meetings and events, make travel arrangements and support appropriate expense reporting administration.

This position will also produce a variety of correspondence, reports, and presentations to support and promote individual business unit management needs. The candidate will have intermediate to advanced software capabilities for word-processing, spreadsheets, presentations and employee collaboration. The successful candidate is looking to have a career path as an Administrative Assistant and will continue to grow theirs skill sets over the course of their career.

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED as a minimum requirement
  • Qualified administrative assistant diploma/certification or similar designation is an asset



  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency is required
  • Experience using SAP is an asset
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and other collaboration tools is an advantage
  • 1-7 years of office administration experience is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record

  • This position will be a full time fly-in, fly-out role to Kearl site from either Calgary or Edmonton. Bus transportation is also available to Kearl site from Fort McMurray at the beginning and end of each shift rotation for Fort McMurray residents. Kearl operations positions will typically be 11 days on and 9 days off (shift rotations start and finish with a partial-day shift.)
  • Kearl operations will provide safe, secure and quiet accommodation near to the worksite for employees working on rotating work schedules. Facilities include a private room/washroom for each employee.

Eligibility to work in Canada
