A Well Services Site Supervisor opportunity is available at Imperial's Cold Lake, Alberta location. The city of Cold Lake is located in the western Canadian province of Alberta. It is approximately 294 km (180 miles) northeast of Edmonton, AB, 170 km (100 miles) north of Lloydminster, AB, and 588 km (375 miles) northeast of Calgary, AB. The area offers all major amenities without the crowds and the traffic, world class recreational facilities and numerous types of outdoor activities. This is NOT a fly in/out opportunity and camp accommodation is not provided. Relocation to the Cold Lake area is required.


Responsibilities:

  • Helping the organization achieve safe and efficient execution of new well completions and well work programs
  • Effective planning, coordinating and scheduling of third party services
  • Identifying work execution efficiency opportunities to maximize value and reduce costs
  • Providing continuous improvement recommendations

 

Qualifications

 

Academic:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is a minimum requirement
  • Engineering technical diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Well Servicing, which includes new well completions, well maintenance and abandonment work.
  • Experience in Heavy Oil, Snubbing Operations, Drilling Rig Operations, Critical Sour Completions, Fracturing or Shallow Gas Multi Zone Completions would be an asset


Other:

  • Valid class 5 driver's license and safe driving record are required
  • Possess superior safety and leadership skills with the ability to lead effective safety conversations with contractor crews
  • Exceptional understanding of safety processes/tools and hazard recognition
  • Problem solving & trouble shooting skills
  • Experience in service rig operations and rig less work such as co-rod, and wire line operations; demonstrated knowledge in well-kill and well-control strategies
  • Solid understanding of well servicing regulations and Industry Recommended Practices
  • Computer proficiency and experience with Well View would be an asset

 

This position is designated as Safety Sensitive under the company’s Alcohol & Drug policy and will require successful pre-employment certification process.
