Subsurface Engineering Student - Cold Lake

Job Description

Imperial is recruiting for a Subsurface Engineering students at our oil sands production facility in Cold Lake, Alberta. 

 

In this position you will support well performance (artificial lift) and casing integrity optimizations and studies within the Cold Lake Subsurface Engineering Team.  Work term will be located in a Cold Lake, Alberta to provide an opportunity for hands-on experience with field operations, production engineering, well integrity, and well servicing activities.  Work scope may include tasks such as evaluating and implementing new well technologies and gathering and analyzing well data to make recommendations for improvements in practices.

 

 

Qualifications

Academic:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s  Degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills
  • Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential
  • To be considered for employment, your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application

  • Commitment to safety on and off the job
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required for the role
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, results-oriented individuals who are energized by working with people and by achieving superior results

  • Work schedule: Full time position

 


Start date: May 2022

 

Work Term: 12 or 16 months preferred, 8 months considered

Eligibility to work in Canada
