What role you will play in our team

 

Are you an Engineering student and motivated to join Imperial? If you are passionate about safety, building positive relationships, and working within a collaborative team environment, then we have the role for you!  We currently have an opportunity within our Cold Lake asset in the Upstream division. You will get to use your technical skills to perform reservoir surveillance activities and optimize production.

 

What you will do

 

  • Work with a multi-functional geoscience, engineering, operations, and well work teams to monitor reservoir performance, maintain integrity, optimize production, and maximize profitability.
  • Perform production engineering and steam scheduling activities including short term forecasting within constraints such as reservoir, well bore, or facilities restrictions and other operations plans.
  • Monitor operations using multiple technologies to ensure reservoir and well bore integrity and react appropriately to trends.
  • Opportunities for growth (e.g. training, mentorship, various subsurface roles, studies/projects, team lead roles, other engineering or asset team roles).Attend technical training and conferences.

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Progressing towards a Canadian accredited (or equivalent) engineering degree
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Able to work individually, as well as in a team situation, with minimal supervision


Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

  • Reservoir engineering training and experience is an asset in this role.
  • Communication, collaboration, and optimization are valued.
