What role you will play in our team
Are you technically savvy and motivated to start your career with Imperial? If you enjoy building positive relationships and working within a strong team environment, then we have the role for you! We currently have an opportunity for a pipeline integrity engineer at our Calgary office supporting the Cold Lake asset.
What you will do
- Oversee the pipeline integrity management program for the Cold Lake production asset
- Identify and mitigate integrity threats for pipelines that transport steam, oil, produced water, and gas
- Provide technical recommendations for chemical inhibition and other preventative measures
- Establish pipeline integrity reassessment intervals
- Lead In Line Inspection (ILI) campaigns - tool/vendor selection, cleaning, execution support
- Review results from integrity assessments such as ILI, non-destructive examination, hydrotesting, and external corrosion assessment
- Prepare engineering assessments and issue repair plans
- Lead incident responses and root cause failure analysis
- Interface with operations, maintenance, management and regulators
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Holding a BSc Engineering degree in Materials, Mechanical, or a related discipline from an accredited University in Canada
- Your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application
- Occasional business travel to Cold Lake, Alberta is required

- Strong written and verbal communication skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
- Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills
- Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential

Eligibility to work in Canada
