HR Advisor - New Grad

We are seeking a new or recent graduate who thrives in a dynamic work environment. As an HR Advisor with Imperial, your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing advice to business partners on day to day HR matters including workforce development, staffing, performance management, industrial relations (both union and join industrial councils), and diversity / inclusion, and HR policies, guidelines and program.
  • Implementing change management best practices resulting from various business improvement and growth initiatives
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, understand and provide recommendations to manage cases and resolve people matters
  • Supporting leadership development and supervisory effectiveness initiatives to maximize employee and organization performance
  • Analyze and leverage data to identify challenges and make recommendations which will positively influence business strategy and decisions


  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business/Commerce required. Specializations in Human Resources is preferred. Industrial and Labor Relations is an asset.

  • Has strong collaboration skills, enjoys working with people and values team work
  • Resilient and adaptable; demonstrates courage of conviction
  • Effective project management, change management and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Manages multiple assignments simultaneously and has strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to relocate to various locations across the country is an asset (relocation assistance will be provided)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required and experience using SAP is an asset

Eligibility to work in Canada

All applicants who receive an offer of employment must be eligible to work in Canada on their start date.  Proof of eligibility shall be in the form of a Canadian birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian citizenship certificate, Canadian certificate of permanent residence, Canadian open work permit or receipt from Immigration Canada of an application for a post-graduate work permit. Proof of eligibility must be current and valid (not expired, cancelled or voided). Proof of eligibility will be required if an offer of employment is made. Failure to provide proof of eligibility at least six (6) weeks prior to the start date may result in the offer of employment being rescinded.
