What role you will play in our team


You will work with multiple experts in various environmental and regulatory subject areas supporting upstream operations. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to act as the environment and regulatory advisor for new project(s) (this will entail, providing environmental/engineering and regulatory advice, submitting applications, and developing mitigation plans).

What you will do

 

  • Providing environmental/engineering advice on environmental aspects to support the day-to-day upstream operations, project development and regulatory approvals in one or more of the following areas:
  • Air management including air emissions, inventories and modelling
  • Water management including chemical and physical hydrology and hydrogeology
  • Waste management
  • Ecology including wildlife, biodiversity and vegetation management
  • Environmental Impact Assessments
  • Regulatory Compliance Management
  • Environmental Planning, Management and Stewardship
  • Organize, develop, conduct and report on effective air, water, soil, wildlife monitoring and/or site assessment programs
  • Spill Prevention and Response
  • Coordinating and supervising work of consultants and contractors
  • Assisting in the administration of regulatory and environmental managing systems at Upstream operations

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications
 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry or Environmental Sciences
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills
  • Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
 

  • Commitment to safety on and off the job
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required for the roles
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, results-oriented individuals who are energized by working with people and achieving superior results 
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required

Eligibility to work in Canada:
