What role you will play in our team
Are you motivated to join Imperial as an Engineering Student? If you are passionate about safety, building positive relationships, and working within a strong team environment, then we have the role for you! We currently have an opportunity within our Technology and Engineering team.
What you will do
- Implementation of features, bug resolution, and maintenance of our applications
- Writing high quality, well tested, efficient, reusable, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards
- Ensuring thorough testing of your code to ensure functionality, performance, and security
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues reported by users or discovered during testing
- Collaboration with developers, data architects, and product managers to deliver on new features
- Develop data pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Databricks
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Sofware Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experiencing building and deploying Cloud resources (Azure preferable)
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on experience writing code
- Attention to details, self-motivated, excited about solving hard problems, and approach problems with positive energy
- Good understanding of application lifecycle including application design and testing
Start date: January ,2025
Location: Calgary, AB
Work term: 12 to 18 Months
