What role you will play in our team

 

Are you skilled in analytics and passionate about collaborating to improve and simplify work processes? We currently have a student opportunity withing Kearl’s Business Support Services team where you will get to support the asset and others across Imperial in continuously improving the way we work.

 

Example: Are you mechanically savvy and motivated to join Imperial as a Journeyperson Electrician? If you are passionate about safety, building positive relationships, and working within a strong team environment, then we have the role for you!  We currently have an opportunity within our Midstream division. You will get to use your technical skills and knowledge of safety to maintain and optimize a key facility in upholding Manitoba’s fuel supply.

What you will do

 

  • Provide day-to-day support to the various functions within the Business Support Team, including Purchase to Pay, Payroll/Timekeeping & other Administrative Support activities for the asset.
  • Participate on process improvement and simplification projects with the various teams in collaboration with other Upstream assets across Imperial.
  • Identify opportunities to develop metrics to monitor key work activities and develop analytical tools (i.e. dashboards) to visualize the data.
  • Collaborate with and support a wide number of individuals and groups in completing work, including business line customers, other Upstream assets, and Global ExxonMobil Business Centres who own global enterprise processes, such as Procurement and Payroll.
  • Actively seek out other responsibilities and projects in support of the team.

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • All candidates must currently be enrolled in a post-secondary program and be returning to that same program at the end of the contract term.

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

  • Preference for candidates who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary certificate program as opposed to a degree program.
  • Knowledge of and experience in data analytics and building visualizations in tools such as Power BI & Tableau is considered an asset.
     

 

Start date: May 2025

 

Work term: 8 Months

Eligibility to work in Canada
