What role you will play in our team
- This job posting is for multiple openings across multiple positions, if you are interested in any of the following apply here and application will be sorted throughout the process.
- ExxonMobil is seeking field technicians across multiple crafts in the Bakken area (Williston, Tioga, and Alexander). These roles include:
- IC&E Technician- Working mainly on PLC, RTUs, MCCs, and field instrumentation
- Electrician- Requires minimum journeyman's license focused on troubleshooting and inspecting power control circuits at variety of voltages
- Programmer- Design and developing PLC programming for control logic on producing pads and stations
What will you do
IC&E Technician
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot transmitters, valvues, switches, sensors
- Calibrate and test safety systems, including ESDs and fire/gas detection systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, RTUs, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, and field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters).
- Knowledge and ability to safely work on control circuits in enclosures with other AC/DC circuits.
- Ability to coordinate, communicate and work with employees from other contract companies, crafts, and or other departments to meet a common goal.
- This is an extremely “hands-on” position requiring outdoor field work that also requires being part of a rotation with others to support the field on an after-hours, on-call basis.
Electrician
- This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring and systems across various settings.
- Responsibilities include working with a range of electrical components, from small devices to larger systems such as lighting, heating, and air conditioning.
- Electricians will also troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, ensuring all systems are safe and functioning correctly.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot electrical power and control devices at a range of voltages from 12VDC to 4160V AC
- Knowledge and ability to safely work on control circuits in enclosures with other AC/DC circuits.
- Ability to coordinate, communicate and work with employees from other contract companies, crafts, and or other departments to meet a common goal.

Programmer
- Design, develop, and maintain PLC programs for Allen Bradley and DS800 systems.
- Analyze and understand automation needs specific to oil and gas operations.
- Modify existing programs to enhance efficiency and adapt to new requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of PLC programs, including diagrams and flowcharts.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure the proper functioning of PLC systems.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and other automation professionals to integrate PLC systems with other automation systems.
- Train and advise team members on the use and maintenance of PLC systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest PLC technologies and industry trends.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
About You
- Driver's license and clean MVR
- Pass pre-employment D&A screening and background check
- Ability to work outside and alone.
- Available for overtime and callouts during scheduled workdays
- 3+ years applicable work experience and/or secondary schooling including certificate, associate, or bachelor degree in electrical engineering, automation, or related.
- Relevant years of experience may be considered as substitution for education requirement.
