DOT/DPOS Safety Sensititve
  • The position you are applying for is regulated by the Department of Transportation or has been internally designated by ExxonMobil as safety sensitive / safety critical (DPOS).

Job Summary

The Field Regulatory Specialist (FRS) position is responsible for oversight of field and regulatory compliance of the pipeline facilities in various operating areas, and reports to the supervisor for the respective area of operations.  The FRS is generally responsible for implementation and stewardship of company guidelines, policies, and procedures as specified by ExxonMobil’s Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (SSHE) Department, including accurate recordkeeping and filing of related documents.

Primary Job Functions
  • Assist with Air Emissions Monitoring, reporting, and recordkeeping
  • Comply with Waste Management guidelines (Sampling, manifesting, and reporting)
  • Comply with Asbestos program guidelines including notifications and monitoring
  • Provide support for spill prevention and response (Response Plans, drills, emergency response, regulatory reporting, cleanup, and remediation)
  • Conduct SARA Title III reporting
  • Maintain DOT Hazmat reporting (labeling, shipping bills of laden)
  • Host regulatory agency inspections and act as company liaisons
  • Conduct required DOT public education within the community
  • Serve as primary contact for regulatory agency audits and own follow-up corrective actions
  • Assist operations supervisors in developing and coordinating site-specific regulatory training
  • Comply with record keeping and record retention guidelines
     
Job Requirements
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently producing high volume/high quality work
  • Ability to work safely and encourage safety among co-workers
  • Ability to communicate effectively (read, write, and speak)
  • Ability to plan and execute daily work activities in accordance with established Company and Regulatory procedures
  • Understanding of pipeline alignment drawings, station flow diagrams and trunk line charts
  • Strong Computer Skills - Able to operate laptop computer remotely, able to use Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and work with graphical applications and various third party databases and tools
  • Strong audit and controls orientation
  • Willing and able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as necessary
  • Willing and able to travel and work away from home occasionally
  • Must be willing and able to work in various locations, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures
  • Must have safe driving skills and possess a valid driver’s
