About Houston
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play on our team
We are seeking a highly skilled and politically astute Executive Brief Writer to support the Office of the Chairman and CEO. This role is critical in preparing high-impact, insight-driven briefing materials for the Chairman’s engagements with global leaders, policymakers, regulators, media, and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in political communications, public affairs, or government relations, and excels at distilling complex global issues into clear, concise, and actionable briefs. This is a high-visibility role requiring discretion, strategic thinking, and exceptional writing skills.
What you will do
- Research, draft, and edit comprehensive briefing documents for the Chairman’s meetings, speeches, panels, and strategic engagements
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Government Affairs, Legal, Strategy Planning, Communications) to gather intelligence and ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Monitor geopolitical, regulatory, and industry developments to inform briefings with timely and relevant context.
- Tailor content to diverse audiences, including heads of state, Fortune 500 executives, international media, and internal leadership.
- Maintain a consistent tone and voice aligned with the Chairman’s communication style and the company’s global brand.
- Manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
About you
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in executive communications, political writing, government affairs, or public policy.
- Proven ability to write for C-suite executives or senior government officials.
- Deep understanding of global political and economic landscapes.
- Exceptional research, synthesis, and writing skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in or with multinational corporations, international institutions, or government agencies.
- Familiarity with global regulatory environments and public policy trends.
