Job Role Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o    Identifies and drives pricing tactics optimization and supports revenue management/cross-functional trib initiatives. 
o    In line with business strategies, sets retail direct pump prices, recommends terminal (rack/spot) and customer prices
o    Oversees evaluation of deals/tenders/next-best-alternatives with aim of maximizing gross profit margin.
o    Works with Sales to restructure deals (e.g. adopt rebate schemes) to ensure both the corporations’ and the customers’ interests are met
o    Assesses optimal pricing mechanism, identifies outlier management opportunities, supports Sales channel alignment, optimization and profitability
o    Supports development of premium product price strategy and competitor pricing assessment
o    Lead strategic pricing
o    Price positioning and customer price segmentation
o    Pricing SME for portfolio management, channel optimization workstreams (including management of lag risk)
o    Lead strategic pricing studies including new pricing mechanism
o    Leads & mentors Analysts in analytics step-up initiatives (e.g. development of pricing corridors, advanced analytics projects) to generate actionable analytics insights. 
o    Provides Pricing Subject Matter Expertist for Pricing System/Process/Roadmap projects
o    Establishes and maintains optimal interactions with Sales Managers, Marketing Advisors, Pricing Operations, BAR and other supporting functions
o    Ensure legal and controls compliance 
o    All other matters as directed by Manager/Supervisor

 

Expected Level of Proficiency

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
o    Degree from recognized university
o    Highly developed leadership, communication, conceptual and analytical skills
o    Effective mentor; ability to contribute beyond self
o    Detailed understanding of business, market and pricing strategy, levers and processes 
o    Effective team-player interfacing with various business functions
o    Experience in Sales or Supply
