What role you will play in our team
ExxonMobil is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety and Health Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety and health programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This role involves collaborating with various departments to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
What you will do
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety and health programs in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Provide safety training and education to employees, contractors, and visitors
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate records of safety and health activities, including incident reports, training records, and inspection findings
- Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement of safety programs
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety and health role, preferably in the oil and gas industry
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred
