What you will do
• Conduct laboratory analyses (hands on working on the bench)
• Produce accurate and timely data
• Understand and keep current with all laboratory safety practices and protocols
• Understand and keep current with all laboratory analysis methods and procedures
• Follow all laboratory analysis methods and procedures rigorously without deviations
• Complete all laboratory reports as applicable
• Assist with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
• Understand general laboratory QA/QC requirements
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of equipment / work area
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
About you
• Diploma in Chemistry or Chemical Technology or equivalent
• Experience in petrochemical testing is preferred but not essential, lower academic qualification with relevant working experience and fresh graduate will also be considered
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Hardworking, dependable and reliable
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Ability to work under general supervision to meet changing priorities and deadlines within a demanding 24/7 work environment
• Proficiency with standard computer software, including MS Word and Excel
• Overtime includes overnights, weekends and holidays may be required
