Job Role Summary

•    Flawless safety, security, health, environmental, controls, and quality operations
•    Customer care (supply, demand, sourcing factors influencing order fulfillment)
•    Efficient and effective use of systems (EMAPSS, Proactive, etc.).
•    Operational efficiency and cost control, including both 1) COGS & OPEX optimization & 2) inventory optimization (inventory strategy)

Job Role Responsibilities

•    Ensure “Nobody Gets Hurt” through prioritization  of safety & mitigation of safety risks for an office-based work team whose members travel periodically
•    Ensure compliance to controls, product integrity & trade regulation requirements
•    Maintain the stocking strategy for responsible SKU’s and adjust main EMAPSS parameters like safety stock, lot size and lead-time when product, sourcing or demand changes.
•    Manage deployment lanes to first maintain optimal levels of customer service and then optimize inventory levels and transportation spends.  Accomplish this while taking network constraints into consideration (production, transportation, plant capacities). 
•    Manage the local 3rd party fillers in Region (shared with Production Planner). Schedule the production and replenish the bulk or empty lube containers to support their production. Collaborate with key distributors combine production and to optimize the production batch size when required.
•    Manage network inventory build, run-down and product change-over according to the product line change management process. 
•    Support plan for inventory builds associated with promotions, plant engineering projects, or system upgrades.
•    Work shelf life aspects to determine recertification or write off.
•    Proactively seek deployment planning process improvements and share best practices across network. 
•    Ensure all activities conform to the expectations set forth in the BPIMS Framework

Expected Level of Proficiency

•    Demonstrate sound business judgment, decision making skills, and customer focus
•    SAP knowledge
•    Understanding of overall network strategy, supply/demand balance, and plant operating constraints
•    Familiarity with basic computer load set, especially MS Excel, Access, and Powerpoint
•    Ability to drive functional excellence through a willingness to aggressively pursue new and creative approaches to resolve problems
•    Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast paced environment
•    Ability to multi-task and prioritize work load
•    Plant and/or Sales experience desired
•    APICS CPIM certification ( when applicable)
•    Business, Marketing, Logistics, or Engineering degree
