Job Description


ExxonMobil Canada is looking for a highly motivated student to join our Research and Development (R&D) team.  You will be working in a fast-paced environment and expected to analyze joint interest financial commitments and conduct commercial risk assessments.

The work term will include:

  • Project Contract Management and Project Execution with specialized focus on joint interest R&D programs
  • Financial Accounting for stewardship of commitments, expenditures, R&D project contracts as well as project milestones
  • Commercial risk assessments of R&D contracts and agreements and Information Management specific to R&D

The work term position will provide excellent opportunities to:

  • Gain experience in project management and contract execution of research programs as well as joint industry projects within the Oil & Gas sector
  • Participate in organization’s broad engagement with internal and external stakeholders in R&D
  • Support review of R&D project deliverables including technology development and commercialization milestones


  • 2nd, 3rd or 4th year university student with concentration in Business / Commerce / Finance or relevant majors
  • A most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application


  • Self-motivated, willingness to learn, attention to detail and demonstrated leadership
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
