ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team
Accountable for an individual venture or portfolio of work within global / region / business unit. Responsible for the delivery of economics, development and execution of manufacturing, technology, supply chain, marketing and/or sales and the interface with Global Projects to jointly ensure the overall success of the capital venture for the Business.
Job location is Houston Campus, Spring, Texas
What you will do
- Responsible for shaping the business case; including configuration, production and marketing basis
Ensures effective Opportunity Evaluation process in place to deliver the right information to leadership to enable effective decision making - Responsible for evaluating whether the project basis / deliverables (e.g.. technology basis, facilities design, project plan, cost estimate, etc.) meet the venture objectives. Ensures that opportunities are identified, defined and appraised.
- Cultivates overall venture culture and promotes behaviors to achieve OneTeam approach across organizations
Manages relationships with government, community, and external partners through the duration of the venture - Accountable for delivering venture with highest and most robust economic value for the corporation
- Establishes project objectives & strategies with alignment across organizations
- Integrates the business and functional organizations to achieve the venture objectives. Ensures internal interfaces are effective and team is adequately resourced.
- Confirms the technology selection and risk mitigations. Oversees the appropriate processes to introduce new technologies into commercial operation.
- Build an effective SSH&E culture (in partnership with Global Projects) within the venture and oversee development and the implementation of safety processes that ensure SSH&E expectations are met within the area of responsibility
- Accountable for timely endorsement and corporate approvals of venture to obtain
- Responsible for ensuring operational readiness of manufacturing organization to facilitate commissioning and start-up, and to run the assets post startup
- Accountable for establishing an effective Business Readiness organization and structure to integrate with existing business operations, and develop required commercial agreements for the new venture

- Demonstrated strong leadership
- 5+ years of experience in venture development
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and collaboration skills
- Capability to execute quality opportunity evaluation
- Strategic mindset - with capability to translate to tactical action plans
- Courage of conviction
- Demonstrated risk management capability
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- 5+ years of experience in venture development
- Experience in economic evaluation
