About Houston

 

ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

 

  • Be an integrator of information from various parts of our CCUS business, applying creative analytics and optimizations that help us create a world-class, scalable carbon capture system

  • Interact with the various parts of the organization to understand evaluation use cases, collect needed data, define & execute analyses, and present insights that impact decision making

  • Run our proprietary system optimization tools and be engaged in the development process for extending these tools

What you will do

 

  • Use optimization tools, financial modeling, and profitability analysis skills to generate quantitative insights resulting in an improved financial performance of our CCUS system

  • Leverage strong visual and verbal communication skills to frame decisions, describe insights, and lay out choices that improve decision quality

  • Manage a broad set of stakeholder relationships by collecting use case definitions, collecting input data needed for analysis, iterating on analytical solutions, answering questions, and presenting results

  • Engage multiple teams / workflows to drive consistency with data flow process and quality

  • Collaborate with commercial and technical experts in the creation of solutions to support business decisions.

  • Manage relationships with senior leaders across different groups within Low Carbon Solutions and ExxonMobil 

About You

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or science disciplines

  • 5+ years of combined experience in technical/commercial roles, investment banking, and/or management consulting

  • Strong business analytics skills with demonstrated experience in financial modeling via Excel or other tools, and in presenting quantitative insights via PowerPoint, Tableau, or similar

  • Excellent top-down and structured communication with ability to present complex ideas to an executive audience

  • Low Carbon / Energy Transition or Oil & Gas experience

  • Familiarity with financial concepts (NPV, cashflow, ROI, etc.) and how to calculate them

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence others without authority

  • Demonstrated ability to learn & adapt in a rapidly changing business environment

 
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

  • 10+ years of combined experience in technical and commercial roles, investment banking, and/or management consulting

  • Ability to drive impact working with a diverse group of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

  • Exhibit deep curiosity, demonstrating strategic thinking to drive long term growth

  • Demonstrated experience in large, international organizations

  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Matlab
