Job Role Summary

ExxonMobil's Medicine and Occupational Health Department is currently seeking a qualified Occupational Medicine Physician to fill the position of Assistant Occupational Health Manager in Spring, TX.

You will be a member of a skilled and highly professional occupational health department and working for a company committed to excellence in health and safety.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in internal medicine or family medicine as well as possessing occupational medicine experience.  Board certification in occupational medicine is desirable.  Supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.  The candidate must be licensed to practice medicine in Texas.

Job Role Responsibilities
  • Perform routine clinical activities including fitness for duty evaluations and medical surveillance activities
  • Provide Disability Case Management services for work related and non-work related illnesses and injuries
  • Provide travel health consultation / risk assessment and advice for business travelers and expatriates
  • Provide clinical management for work-related medical conditions, including consideration of OSHA recordability
  • Where necessary provide emergency treatment for injuries and illnesses occurring in the workplace
  • Provide guidance to clinical and administrative staff within the clinic
  • Assist with all aspects of the management of clinic operations
Job Requirements
  • Medical degree (MD, DO), relevant Master’s degree (e.g., MPH)
  • Relevant experience in Occupational Medicine
  • Texas medical licensure required
  • Prescriptive authority, DEA certification
  • Experienced in travel health
  • Demonstrated leadership, management experience
  • Competent in use of electronic medical record systems to produce timely, contemporaneous medical documentation
