About Houston
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team
-
Provide technical expertise on wax applications for product differentiation in the market and product optimization in the refinery.

Work with technology, sales and marketing teams to support production and marketing of wax products to meet and exceed customers and societal needs.

Location is Houston area (Baytown, TX or Spring, TX)
What you will do
-
Comply with all Corporate policies for internal and external activities
-
Provide technical expertise on performance of waxes in several applications among board-sizing, candle or rheology (PVC, adhesives, tires…)
-
Lead or contribute to all stages of product technical development and deployment in selected applications.

Provide technical support to Sales team through joint customer visit and development of sales tools supporting value-in-use of wax in application.

Support Marketing team by providing insights on market trends and competitive products and by developing marketing co-laterals to promote Prowaxx brand.

Interface with business Market development and technology to innovate and define new product opportunities

Provide wax product integrity and application expertise to Refinery team to maximize reliable production or optimize product quality.

Plan, coordinate and steward technical programs with internal or 3rd party laboratories to establish value-in-use of wax in selected applications

Participate in global, cross-disciplinary meetings and projects to leverage the breadth of knowledge and capabilities within ExxonMobil Technology.

Manage Intellectual Property and watch Technology in the core discipline.

Apply teamwork, communication and presentation skills to translate technical insights into meaningful business needs and to develop effective technical support.

Effectively present wax technical offer to a diverse audience (technical and non-technical) of customer and industry participants.

Document completed efforts such that others can leverage their work to enable efficient future similar efforts. Identify opportunities to improve work processes.

About you
Skills and Qualifications
-
Masters Degree in: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar
-
Technical experience in Waxes through Product and/or Application development
-
Functional/behavioral skill proficiencies consistent with the Job role requirements
-
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
-
Good understanding of physical and chemical analytical techniques
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
-
PhD Degree in: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar
-
Technical experience in manufacture or development of wood composites
-
Technical experience in manufacture or development of candles
-
Technical knowledge of paraffinic, vegetable or synthetic Wax
