What role you will play in our team

Project Engineer / Manager plays a leading role for the assigned project(s), and ensures successful completion of the assigned project(s) as per Project Objectives and Strategies. As a project engineer, you will liaise with various stakeholders and are expected to leverage the functional expertise of the whole project organization to achieve safe completion of the assigned project(s).



What you will do


  • Leads implementation (or play a key role in verifying and validating implementation) of safety processes and procedures that ensure Project Safety Plan and existing site SSHE expectations are met during project execution
  • Engages in execution plans, SSHE Plan (if applicable) and contracting / procurement strategies development and implementation
  • Monitors and appraises Contractor(s)' organization, planning, execution and controls, and drives improvement plans to close gaps in performance
  • Coordinates and direct project, functional, business, manufacturing and other functional support to ensure timely completion of reviews, resolution of technical queries and required actions.
  • Identifies project issues and executes/stewards appropriate actions to resolution.
  • Supports the transition between project stages, ensuring compliance with ExxonMobil standards and processes.
  • Supports procurement activities, including in some cases, materials requisitioning and expediting
  • Responsible for contractor administration activities e.g. review of contracts and to support the preparation and negotiation of contracts
  • Responsible for project close-out and turnover to the operational organization
  • Accountable for performance of project and alignment with local and global processes



About you


We are looking for an experienced project engineer / manager who is passionate in driving improvements and looking to build a long-term career in project management discipline. A successful candidate should demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, enthusiasm to collaborate with or lead a diverse team, and ability to create clarity in a fast-changing environment.



Skills and Qualifications


  • An engineering degree from a recognized university
  • More than 5 years of relevant industry experience in project management and execution
  • Strong understanding of industry norms and practices relevant to project management and construction safety
  • An effective team player with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Willingness to work in a refinery/petrochemical plant environment
