ExxonMobil is one of Singapore’s largest foreign manufacturing investors with over S$25 billion in fixed asset investments.
We have manufacturing facilities that include an integrated world-scale refining and petrochemical complex in Jurong and Jurong Island, a network of service stations under the Esso brand, operate a lubricant plant and are a supplier of cylinder cooking gas. What you will do


  • Responsible for the safe, proper, and efficient utilization of manpower and laboratory facilities in accordance with ExxonMobil standards.
  • Lead the laboratory team to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide supervision on day-to-day laboratory operations.
  • Liaise with the production team on matters pertaining to product testing, blending and quality control of finished product and raw material (additives and base oils).
  • Ensure timely and effective maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Actively lead and participate in safety walks, inspection, near miss reporting, and other safety activities
  • License holder for the laboratory and responsible for stewarding license renewal
  • Ensure adequate control and security of assets.
  • Familiar with International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements and guidelines is a plus.
  • Periodically review laboratory technicians and contractor to gauge work knowledge and provide coaching/refresher training as and when required to improve individual’s performance.
  • Familiar with corporate Human Resources (HR) policies and applicable labor laws; act as point of contact for laboratory technicians for related matters.



About you
Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Chemistry or Engineering related discipline
  • At least 5 years of working experience in a laboratory with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Familiar with lab equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Possesses leadership skills – able to manage and motivate a diverse team daily.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, administrative skills working in a team environment.
  • Good analytical skill and eye for details and data are essential.
